CONVERSATIONS WITH A LIVING LEGEND:
ELIZABETH ECKFORD

On September 4th, 1957, Elizabeth Eckford and eight other African-American students
attempted to enter Little Rock Central High School, a school that previously had only
accepted white children. Why did Elizabeth step forward to perform that enormous act
of courage, and how did it change the nation, and her life? Come find out for yourself as
Carolyn Tyler of ABC-7 News hosts a Conversation with Elizabeth Eckford, a living legend.

Directions to the San Mateo Performing Arts Center From 101:
From the North: Take the Poplar Avenue exit in San Mateo and proceed west two blocks to Delaware. Turn right on Delaware and the Performing Arts Center will be on the right hand
side of the street.
From the South: Take the Peninsula Avenue exit in San Mateo off 101 and head west
two blocks to Delaware. Turn left (south) on Delaware. The theater is about 2 miles down
on the left side at 600 N Delaware. |
