Jeff Steinberg
Founder, Executive Director & Lead Teacher
Jeff Steinberg is a teacher from the San Francisco Bay Area who taught history for 14 years at Capuchino High School, the same school he attended as a teenager. His passion is to introduce students to the civil rights era and engage them in the ongoing dialogue and struggle for social justice. In October 1999, Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) gave Jeff her annual "Excellence in Education Award." He is the first individual teacher to be so honored. Jeff was also voted San Francisco State University's Alumni of the Year for 2003.

Sara Fox
Development and Program Director
After working with Sojourn for several years as an English teacher at Santa Monica High School and South San Francisco High School, Sara joined the Sojourn team full-time in August of 2008. Her roles include teaching, school presentations, event planning, fund raising, and curriculum development.

Sandra Rogge
Office Manager/Administrative Assistant
Sandra joined Sojourn to the Past this year after being employed with the San Mateo Union High School District the past 6 years. Sandra assists in maintaining an effective and efficient office assisting in day to day operations. Sandra looks forward to an exciting new endeavor with Sojourn to the Past.

Luci Cerecedes
Book Keeper
Luci Cerecedes has been with Sojourn since its first expedition in February, 1999. A stickler for details, Luci maintains Sojourn's participant database and executes many day-to-day financial maintenance tasks, including bank deposits and payments to services.

  Nicole Wright
Office Assistant
Nicole has been a participant of the movement since 2000. She has worked as a student teacher, and a Phone Project Supervisor. She has now settled into her role as the Office Assistant. Her main tasks include maintaining Sojourn’s database and working with Mr. Steinberg during the parent meetings.
